Or goals, really.
Short term, I'm looking for the profits from my zines to go towards something good. Something honest. I want to help the causes I speak out about- my dysphoria zine sends profits to CoppaFeel, a charity who supports breast cancer awareness. I'd like to expand this, currently I'm working on a red panda project with my girlfriend and we'd love to send a portion of those profits to conservation charities for red pandas.
My biggest ongoing project will be a monthly zine surrounding chronic illnesses and updates in research, resources, and available treatment, as well as focusing on growing a healthy community by uplifting relavent charities, creators, and other small businesses.
This is the Spoonie Supplement. We've released several issues now with a lot of positive feedback, but we're always looking for more ideas- so feel free to share what you want to see in the next issue!
Long term, I want my art to make a difference. I want people to feel seen. I also want people to feel able to express their own opinions and needs- this is why my inbox is always open for submissions- if you want to contribute to a zine, any zine, or have a zine idea, you can send it to me and if I take it onboard you'll get a free author copy of the zine.
